Hi @luv3kids,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your printer is showing offline. Try these HP steps for an offline printer after a restart:

  • Check printer status on the computer:

    • In Windows, open Printers or Printers and Faxes.

    • If the printer shows Offline, right-click it and choose Use Printer Online.

    • If it shows Paused, choose Resume Printing.

  • Clear the print queue:

    • Delete any pending print jobs, then try printing again.

  • Check the connection:

    • If using a USB, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, or try a different USB port.

    • If using wireless, make sure wireless is turned on, and no Ethernet cable is connected, because Ethernet can disable wireless on supported models.

  • Run the printer’s wireless/network test:

    • From the printer front panel, print the Wireless Network Test or Network Configuration Page to verify connection status.

  • Confirm the driver port matches the printer connection:

    • In Windows Printer Properties > Ports, make sure the selected port matches the printer’s current network connection. HP notes that an offline condition can happen if the printer connection changes after a restart.

  • Restart HP Network Device Support (Windows):

    • Open Services, find HP Network Devices Support, and restart it.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
