@TinyTot2023, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You're using the HP DeskJet 2775e, which can print on certain types of cardstock, but glitter cardstock is not officially supported because the glitter coating interferes with ink absorption and can damage the ink cartridges or rollers. However, you can try a workaround with careful steps:
Check Printer Specs (Cardstock Weight Limit)
The DeskJet 2775e supports media up to around 200 g/m². If your glitter cardstock is thicker or heavily coated, it may not feed or print properly.
Paper Settings (Windows/Mac)
To tell the printer it's using a heavier paper:
Windows:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
- Look for a Media Type or Paper Type option.
- Set it to Cardstock, Heavyweight Paper, or HP Brochure Matte (if available).
Mac:
- In the print dialog, click Show Details.
- Find Media & Quality or Paper Type/Quality.
- Choose Best quality and a heavy paper type if listed.
Feed One Sheet at a Time
- Manually load one glitter sheet at a time.
- Gently push the sheet in until it stops and aligns with the paper guides.
Print Quality Settings
- Use Best Quality mode.
- Turn off Economy/Eco Mode.
- Use plain paper settings if no heavy/glossy type is listed (this tricks the printer into using more ink).
Note:
- Do NOT use rear-fed tray settings — the 2775e is front-fed only.
- Avoid glitter on the bottom of the sheet (it can rub onto rollers and cause jams or ink smearing).
- If glitter is flaking, use a clear spray fixative beforehand.
- Don’t push thick paper forcefully.
- Avoid reusing glitter sheets that have already jammed.
- Don't try duplex (double-sided) printing on glitter cardstock.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
