HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I've used Parallels with my MacBook Pro for a few years with few problems. I need help understanding how best to install my new printer on the Windows side.
I recently bought an HP Envy Inspire 7955e. I installed the printer on the Mac side, which is very quick and easy. I went into Printer settings, clicked to add the printer, and MacOS did the rest. A little later, I was working in Windows and found the printer was just there--ready and waiting for me. That was fine till I needed to print more than one copy of a project in Microsoft Publisher: I could print just one copy at a time. To get a second copy, I had to send a second print job. That got me to thinking that perhaps I need to install this printer in Windows the way I remember doing it back when I had a Windows machine. That is, I should download HP's drivers and other software in Windows. That thought raised other questions. If I'm installing this printer on the Windows side, what might that process do to the printer installation on the Mac side? I suspect it won't do anything to upset my printer in MacOS, but I'd like some advice from others who have done this already.

A detailed MAC OS question like that might be better posed on an Apple specific site. I would not expect any negative repercussions, that said I am no MAC expert. Likely what installed is a default MicroSoft IPP driver which offers very limited functionality and installing a full driver set will give you all the functions.

Thanks for the prompt response! I suppose the worst that can happen is that I might need to reinstall my printer in macOS, but that's no big deal. I might try your suggestion and take the question over to Apple support.
