I replaced my computer and trying to install the software for my printer. My printer is up and running fine with a wireless connection.
I've downloaded the software without incident. When I attempt to install I recieve the error message stating my computer does not support USB installation. My intention is to install for wireless connection. I did try to install by connecting the printer via a USB cable and continue to get same message. Again my intention is to connect wirelessly but can install USB if needed being I purchased a desktop.
I have this same software installed on 2 seperate laptops and had no such issues with the install. Install on one of the computers was within the last 6 months. From what I can see it is the same file I am attempting to install presently because of the release date.
I use the scan funtion often and would very much like to get this program running.
I hope that I will get some feedback because this seems to be the only way to get support besides Twiiter and such , which I am not involved with. What ever happened to being able to pick p the phone and actually talk to someone. (Sorry about the rant. Old school hahaa)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year to all!
Respectfully,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Click the Start button and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.
Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Open the Setup folder.
Locate the usbready.exe file and rename it into usbready.old.exe
Browse back to the main extraction folder (the folder who starts with 7z) and launch the Setup.exe file.
Now follow the installation and check for any difference.
