I can't seem to install this printer correctly as many times as I've tried (and not different ways either! There's only ONE way to install a printer, after all).

There's always an "error" when I try to print, my guess is the computer and the printer are not communicating like they should.

I've tried going into my settings, clicked on "add printer", let the computer find the printer I want to add then the computer acts like it's installing but it really isn't. 

I've tried saving the document I want to print and try to print it out using HP Smart app but every time I click on "print documents" the app prompts me to install a printer I thought I installed already, around and around we go.

I'm ready to return this printer where I got it from because I'm honestly tired of struggling with it.

Hi,

Try following below specific version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

 

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

 

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy (Copy1) and check for any difference.

This HP Scan Doctor did not resolve my installation problem, my printer didn't even print the test page the HP Scan Doctor said the printer would.

I've wasted 2 ink cartridges printing out test pages that seem fine when the printer decides to print but then the printer does not print what I need printed out.

I ordered a printer cable from Amazon to see if maybe having the printer directly connected to my computer helps resolve my issue, if this doesn't work then I will be returning this printer right back to the store where I got it from.
