@jauze, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
We see the installation process gets stuck in a loop when using HP Smart or HP Easy Start on the latest macOS versions. This is often due to compatibility issues.
HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e All-in-One Printer series supports up to macOS 15.
Here are some recommended steps to resolve the issue:
Use AirPrint Instead of HP Drivers
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + to add a printer.
- Select your printer from the list.
- In the “Use” dropdown, choose AirPrint (not HP driver).
- Click Add.
AirPrint is built into macOS and works seamlessly with most HP printers, including the 9010e series.
Reset the Printing System
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and select Reset printing system.
- Confirm and restart your Mac.
Uninstall HP Smart and HP Easy Start
- Drag both apps to the Trash from the Applications folder.
Try USB Setup First
- Connect your printer via USB.
- Once it’s recognized and installed, you can switch to Wi-Fi.
Update macOS
- Go to System Settings > General > Software Update.
- Install any available updates, as Apple has released patches for printer compatibility.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
