I recenlty bought a macbook neo and cannot find an installer for my HP inktank 110 series.

Moreover, I tried adding it as a printer and succeed but when I tried printing the power button was just blinking and nothing comes out of it. What can I do?

Hello @nathaliejean, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Smart Tank 110.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

Perform a basic reset

Start by resetting the printer to clear any temporary issues:

  • Turn OFF the printer and unplug it from the power source
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it ON

Use macOS built-in drivers

The HP Ink Tank 110 series may not have a dedicated installer for newer macOS versions, but it can still work using AirPrint or built-in drivers:

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners
  • Remove the existing printer (if already added)
  • Click Add Printer (+) and select your printer
  • Ensure the “Use” or “Print Using” field is set to AirPrint

Check connection status

  • Make sure the printer is properly connected (USB or Wi-Fi)
  • If using USB, reconnect the cable directly to the Mac (avoid adapters if possible)
  • If using Wi-Fi, confirm both devices are connected to the same network

Check printer behavior (blinking power light)

A blinking power button usually indicates the printer is waiting for a job or facing a communication issue:

  • Cancel all pending print jobs from the Mac
  • Restart the Mac and printer, then try printing again

Reset printing system on Mac

  • Go to Printers & Scanners
  • Right-click in the printer list and select Reset printing system
  • Restart your Mac and re-add the printer

Take care and have an amazing day!
