I have configured the printer without problem but I cannot install the drivers because it gives me an error. My computer uses windows 7 operating system
I download from the HP website for this printer and I get this message: Webview2 Runtime is not installed. Then it tells me do you want to install the prerequisite (recommended)? I say Ok and I get the message: error starting the installer and then another message: The system does not meet the installation requirements. I have also tried connecting the printer with USB but I get the message: No driver found.
Can you help me or send me the driver files directly by email? Can I return the printer if there is no solution? Thank you so much

Hi @vicenç,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're facing driver compatibility issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9720e on Windows 7.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:

1. Windows 7 Compatibility: Software and Drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 9720e Wide Format All-in-One Printer

  • The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720e officially supports Windows 7.

2. Download HP Universal Print Driver: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows - PCL 6

  • Instead of the specific 9720e driver, you can try installing the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD), which is often more compatible with older systems like Windows 7.
  • Download the UPD from the HP website. Look for the Universal Print Driver (PCL6) version.

Refer to this document:  HP OfficeJet Pro 9720e Wide Format All-in-One Printer User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

good afternoon, I downloaded upd-pcl6-x64-7.2.0.25780 windows 7 64 bits
During the installation I get three options:
1- Traditional mode
2- Dynamic mode
3. USB Mode - plug and play
What mode should I select?
But during the installation I have to connect the printer with an Ethernet cable or USB cable. At the moment my printer is not working. I can only scan and make copies manually but it does not print from a computer.

With usb PRINTER FLASHES
WITH ETHERNET NOT

Any solution? thank you so much
