I keep receiving messages to install, download and update InstallHPDC_Service updates.

For the last couple of weeks, when I have tried to do this I receive an error message, and am unable to complete the required task.

Any help would be appreciated

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Are you able to make copies from the printer?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue: 

Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor: Follow steps from the link: Click here

 

Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Envy printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall, click here.

Thanks for your message. I  followed  your instructions but problem was not resolved. i believe it is a different problem to the the one I originally described .

I have taken a  photo of the request to download updates and the error message that appears, but I'm unable to send photos via this platform. 

Any ideas please.

That's unfortunate. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This requires remote assistance, please reach out to the HP Support in your region for further troubleshooting steps.

 

To upload the image you need to select the camera icon or a image icon in the message box (toolbox) that will allow you to insert the image.
