I just upgraded my laptop - went from a five year old Dell Alienware, to a new Dell Alienware with Windows 11.

I downloaded the driver & software package from HP (HP_Color_LJ_Pro_MFP_M277-full-solution-22047.exe), and ran it. It seemed to install correctly (had to connect manually with USB-printer cable), and when completed, the printer printed out a test page. Also, the printer showed it was available (in Settings, as well as in Word, Excel, etc.). However, when I tried to print (from Word, Excel), I got nothing, and the printer icon shows the job listed, but the warning "Unknown status" (even though the printer was on).

Also, when I tried to run ANY HP software (e.g. "HP Scan"), I got the HP pop-up, got "The HP CLJM277 Scan was not found". And when running "HP Device Toolbox", I get the windows pop-up, "There is a problem communicating with the printer".

But some things run correctly. When I run "HP Update", it runs successfully, and says there are no new updates available.  Can also access the User's Guide.

Also, the printer still seems to be connected to my wifi network.

I wasn't sure of the link you sent, so I searched it out on the HP site. Bottom line; I ran the "HP Print and Scan Doctor", and after a bit of wrangling, got the printer working.
