Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I am trying to install the printer software in my laptop, but I get a message saying that I need to install .NET Framework 4.8.1. When I am trying to install it, I get a message saying "The .NET Framework 4.8.1 is not supported on this operating system." I am unable to install the HP printer software until I install the .NET Framework. Does anyone have any suggestions?
