The printer reports an Internet connection error when trying to check for updates, although the network is fine. I've tried this on multiple devices, but the result is the same everywhere

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand, your printer gives an internet connection error message,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Could you share the picture of the error message?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

Update Firmware: Click here and follow steps.

Try assigning a static IP address and a manual DNS address:

* Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.

* Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.

* Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)

* Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.

* Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)

Let me know how this goes,

Cheers!

Good afternoon, I'm sorry for not answering for a long time. Thanks for the support. It seems to me that because of the brevity of the description of my problem, I have led everyone into some kind of delusion about her. Here is more information. I made updates from the control panel on several devices successfully until about the fall of this year. Then came the problem. During the time I didn’t answer, it turned out that this problem concerns not only the printer I found it on, but also many (if not all) hp printers that have a built-in update function in our organization. Moreover, I called the hp service in my city (Moscow, Russia) and asked for an update on the hp Pro 400 M425 printer. So, he had the same result, that is, he received the message "Connection Error. The printer is unable to connect to the service. Check the Internet  connection. Press {Retry} to try again, or {OK} to exit". And, although I knew about the other version of the update (Update Firmware: Click here and follow steps.), I express my gratitude  since it can help other people who have fallen into this situation.
