Hi FerRX:

 

Your suggestion was very helpful, and after installing the Photosmart software you suggested I was able to connect my HP Windows 10 computer with my HP C4385 printer via a connected USB cable. Thus far, after many, many attempts I am still unable to connect the printer to my home network via a wireless LAN connection. 

The software that came with the printer is for a Windows XP or Vista operating system and my Windows 10 computer is not finding nor connecting to the printer wirelessly using the HP Support Assistant.

If you have any idea on how I can connect the computer via WLAN please let me know.
