Did you make any changes to your printer?

I have checked the printer specifications and there are no drivers available 10.12 sierra from HP.

However, you can try installing HP Printer Drivers v3.1 from apple website directly and check if it helps.

Please download the HP Printer Drivers v3.1 from apple website using this link.

Hi MrRobot, thank you very much I have followed your suggestion and the HP printer is now working fine with my iMac. The printer hadn'nt been changed, it was a printer I moved from a windows PC to my iMac. Thank you MikieW
