Product: HP LaserJet 1012 Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking to see if my laserjet 1012 is compatible with USB OTG printing from a Samsung S22 Ultra. Samsung says the phone is OTG compatible.

It must be at least partially compatible because I can send print jobs to the printer via the OTG cable, but it takes about an hour for the print job to start. Once the printer starts, the document prints normally.

I tried searching through the forums here, but every link to a document is dead. Thank you.

HP Recommended

This is a host based printer which means all formatting and PCL conversions happens in the host device not the printer. I am actually surprised that anything printed at all. Unlikely there is a silver bullet that will make this process any faster. Last supported operating system was Windows Vista.
