Seriously ... this is why HP is now virtually irrelevant in the world of tech.

I go to print, which I only do about once a week or two ... yet every time, I am asked to log back in to my HP account.  The process has multiple steps and takes 1-2 minutes.  This just to print something that should take 10 seconds.  Seriously, who came up with this?  And why would anyone buy another HP if they are frustrated by the unnecessary process every time.

Is there a way to bypass this annoying process?

There maybe a solution, but the lack of details in your post make that impossible. What printer and operating system?

Sorry if my post came across in an overly testy fashion, but as you can tell, I'm very frustrated that I even need to make a post about this.  Here is some additional informaiton:

- HP Smart tank plus 550
- Apple Mac running latest IOS Ventura 13.0.1

That said, my issue isn't with the hardware.  The printer works great.  My issue is with the software HP imposed on me to use my own printer.  Until recently, I could just open the HP printer app and print.   Recently however, this changed and now it requires me to go through a log-in process involving the app as well as the HP site.  The entire process takes 2 minutes to go through.  What's most frustrating is that it is unnecessary.  Why do I need to login to use my own printer?  How do all my other devices ... 20+ lutrons, 6 sonos, integrated TV systems, iphones, macs, connected appliances, and more ... manage to work wonderfully, while using my HP printer feels like I've been time-ported back to the 90s when tech wasn't user friendly yet.

If there is a way to bypass this mess, I'd love to know.  I have no need to log in.  I don't buy things through the HP app, as I'm sure most people don't.  All I want to do is open my app and print.
