Setting up my new printer I get to the stage where I am asked to press and hold the Information icon I am asked to wait(this could take a few minutes), I wait then I'm asked to try the process again, still nothing happens. I have tried this process a number of times with no success?

Hi @Jill1962,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering some difficulties during the setup process of your HP Envy 6000e printer. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check the connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the signal is strong.
- Restart the printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the issue. Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Reset the printer: Most printers have a reset option that can help resolve issues. Look for a reset button or option in the printer's settings menu, and follow the instructions to reset the printer.
- Update firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP website. Follow the instructions provided to update the firmware.
- Check for obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions blocking the printer's sensors or buttons. Clear any paper jams or debris from the printer.
- Try a different setup method: If you're setting up the printer using a specific method (such as through the control panel), try using a different method, such as the HP Smart app or the HP Easy Start software.
By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the issue and successfully set up your HP Envy 6000e printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
