I downloaded the HP Smart App for my printer. Although when I sign-in via the App it gives me the message “No Internet Connection” even though I can clearly connect to the internet via my device. I have tried numerous trouble-shoots with updating my device, un-installing to re-installing, and updating the printer firmware. Please help!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)?
  • Are you able to print from other devices?
  • Did you make any changes to the settings of your Printer prior to the issue?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Restart your printer, router, and mobile device:

  1. Turn off the printer, and then turn it on again.

  2. Disconnect the power cable from the router, wait ten seconds, reconnect the cable, and then wait for the internet connection to complete.

  3. Turn off your phone or tablet, and then turn it on again. If the issue persists, follow the next steps.

Hard reset:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

The issue is the HP Smart App. It is giving me this notification even though I have internet.

@FunkMac

Thank you for posting back.

  1. Are the printer and iOS connected to the same network?
  2. Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? If yes, make sure the dual-band has different SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G networks.
  3. What is the distance between the router and the printer?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
