Thanks for the pointer. Looks quite similar, except hat the "stuck point" has moved in between (don't know yet why).

Anyway: With this additional information the formatter board might be the cause of the problem.

As the printer was bought only a few days ago (refurbished) I will now contact the vendor. I'll keep you informed.

Kind regards,
Stefan

Today the printer came up - with the swapped disk inserted.

The only changes were:

  • The printer was switched off since yesterday night (cooled down)
  • I pressed gently on the main chip (BGA package) once
  • The formatter board cover was opened

After startup it showed "disk not initialized", so I did a disk init procedure. Came up without delay afterwards.

All these make the theory "formatter board problem" possible. I will nevertheless inform the seller (and do some more startups to be certain).

Kind regards,
Stefan

The final solution:  Replacing the formatter board. (The seller was very helpful and sent me a formatter board in advance.) The printer runs fine since then.

Kind regards,
Stefan
