LJM1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution.exe -file does not start to install - nothing happens after unzip

I have downloaded program and driver file (217 MB) for HP laserjet M1212 from this address

After download I doubleclick the exe-file and and it starts unzipping. It takes about half a minute.

But when 100% is ready nothing happens. Exe-file does not start installing at all, what's wrong?

This is HP Probook 4730s laptop and Win 10. Reinstalled laptop, with new SSD drive and that's why need to install laserjet software.

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

The following resource will help you :

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Apologies for jumping in unannounced @greenturtle.

@EskoR- please follow these steps to launch the installer with the latest Windows Update 1803 update:

Click the Search icon and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.

Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Double click on HpSetup.exe and follow the steps on screen to install the printer.

Here's the steps in pictures :

1. Key in %temp% under Search

2. Go to folder (check the date to ensure it's the latest folder after file are extracted)

3. Select file to install

Hi,

Cannot see from your printscreens what is the right folder (step 2) and what is the file (step 3).

Print screens are too blurry and difficult to guess the right ones.

There are so many folders/files.

Now I found that there was +-button to enlarge the snapshots so sorry my previous email.

This LJM....exe -file does not start to do anything eventhough I'm trying to open it using Admin rights.

Nothing happens.

But I tried HPsetup.exe -file, which is above LJM..-file you  pointed.

I double clicked that file and it started to install.

I think that I managed to install needed drivers because Imanaged to print test page.

Hopefully all is installed eventhough using wrong exe-file!

The HPsetup should work as well, since it's for the printer - just a few more steps than the one we siggested.

This help me a bunch.  I've been struggling with this problem for days.  I am sure there are many like me having the same problem.   Is there anyway HP can put a fix to this? 

btw, the last printer I bought was NOT an HP because of this problem.

I had to buy new laptop and I have the same issue as earlier. I cannot install HP Laserjet M1212.

I cannot find anything starting 7zip from %temp%.

From downloads I can find LJM1130....  exe-file, but when I 2-click it it does not do anything.

How can I install sw and drivers?

I managed to resolve mys issue. These are the steps I had to do:

1. First download the LJM1130...exe-file.  After that you can find it from C:/....Downloads-folder.

2. Double-click starts to unzip the exe-file, but no one tells you where!

3. From  C:/...Appdata/Local/Temp -folder you can find this kind of folder e.g 7zS0585. There is no hint that it can be some HP-folder!! I accidentally opened some of those folders (there were tens folders because of my many trials).

In that folder I saw countries names and lower down HPSetup.exe. Double clicking of that exe-file installed correctly HP laserjet.

Is it possible to use e.g. "HP" or "HP Laser Jet" or something like that name in this temp-folder?
