I've been trying to register a HP Laser Jet MFP M140W for hours now and the serial number keeps identifying a different product that has an expired warranty.  Frankly I'm to the point of frustration where I'm sorry I didn't choose a different brand.  I have a picture of the serial number  from printer and that matches the box, the automatic product detection feature from HP doesn't work either.  The printer has been set up and is functioning, I've printed several pages and at least that works.

This information looks like it might help.  HP Facebook support tried to assist over the weekend, but issued a case number and I spent 90 minutes on the phone with HP support yesterday.  Even they are having problems with the registration for this printer and I was told to check back to see it in my profile in about 30 days.  Thankfully the printer works and I guess I'll worry about the warranty if it become necessary.  I appreciate the effort from Rachel571.
