HP LaserJet CP1525nw color
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My LaserJet CP1525nw color printer is stuck in Firmware Corrupt Ready 2 Download (on the printer screen itself).  I've tried all the self help available to try to get this fixed.  I pressed the back, ok, and cancel buttons at once turned off and turned back on.  Now I'm at BootDimm Ready 2 Download.  Is there a way to actually reset this printer to its factory settings so I can update the firmware and continue using it?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

  1. Power on/Power off: Power switch located on left side panel
  2. Restore Defaults
    1. Press OK to open the menus.
    2. Use the Left arrow or the Right arrow button to select the Service menu, and then press the OK (Select) button.
    3. Use the left arrow or the right arrow button to select Restore defaults, and then press the OK button. The product automatically restarts.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
