Hi,

 

The HP Smart app on my Windows PC does not recognize my printer - it is listed as "offline" and the app cannot work with it. At the same time the same app (HP Smart) on my Android phone works perfectly with the printer, and the Wi-Fi connection sign on the printer's panel is on. The other PC app I use, HP Print and Scan Doctor, also acknowledges that the printer is online but fails to print a test page and does not say why - basically it said that there might be a serious problem and that I need outside help.

 

So basically I can print anything from my phone but nothing from my computer.

 

Can anyone assist me with this problem?

Hello,

In the case, if HP Easy Start cannot install your printer, please use HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28/M29/M30/M31w Printer Full Software Solution to install the printer.

Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.

The app you suggested was able to detect that there was something wrong with the Wi-Fi network settings on my computer. Now everything works. Thanks for the helpful reply!
