HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw Printer

The specs for my LaserJet MFP M234sdw (https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laserjet-mfp-m232-m23) say my scanner is capable of 600x600 resolution.  However, the HP Scan Interface only allows up to 300x300.

Is the documentation for my scanner incorrect and it's only capable of 300x300, or, is the documentation correct but the scan interface is faulty in only allowing 300x300 when the scanner is actually capable of 600x600?  If the latter, how can I fix the scan interface to allow 600x600 scanning?  I just recently downloaded and installed the latest posted printer drivers.

Are you scanning from the AD or the glass? Most devices only support highest resolution scanning from flat glass. This is due to limitations of accuracy in the ADF feed mechanism.

If by "AD" you mean the auto document feeder, then no, I'm scanning a single document placed directly on the glass.
