Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello:

I need to install my LaserJet P1102w Driver/Software package on my computer. The file downloads and it does extract after installation, but it does nothing else after that. It won't install. My printer spool is running, and I reset it as well. I have restarted numerous times. My computer is able to find the printer and hook up to it, but I need the software to use the printer correctly. I have no way of manually setting it up to print on both sides of the paper etc. I have tried the diagnostic tool which didn't work. I tried the "smart setup." Nothing can help me to get the software package to actually install. This is so aggravating!

I did double click exactly as you explain in the previous reply. If you would have stated it like you just did ( Right-click the Start menu and select Run) then paste the following and press OK,I would not have had that problem. Clarification is everything. This time it worked. Maybe you should not assume that everyone is NOT tech savvy. You were literal, and I followed instructions. Thank you!

Hi,

If you have any device added on your PC, be sure to unplug the cable if it is connected with a USB, then open Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners and remove any listed instance of the printer by selecting Remove Device.

Next, browse to C:\LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution and double-click HpSetup.exe, then follow the steps on screen to install the printer, do not connect the USB till the installation ask to do so if you install it with a USB.

Hello:

I did as you suggested. The same problem exists. The file extracts, but doesn't continue to install. After the "Extracting" window, it just stops. Nothing else. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I did go to the link you listed (C:\LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution) It won't launch. There is not a printer connected to my computer via USB. I deleted the printer as you stated to do. The files will not execute for some reason. There is not any driver listed for this printer as well. You must download the whole software package. It would be nice if I could at least just get the driver instead of a generic windows one.

The printer works when I connect it through "add printer." My whole problem is that I need the software and HP driver. I need the software to print on both sides of the paper etc. Thank you!

Sorry, I spend the time writing you the steps accurately, you should at least take some time to read it, you don't even read my whole sentence.. it does say to double-click HpSetup.exe following this path...

Right-click the Start menu and select Run, then paste the following and press OK

First of all, great to hear that the problem is resolved now.

My sincere apologies and this was not my intention at all, sorry about the way I responded,  I guess me too read your responses too literal, with a combination of a bad moment 😉

Cheers,

Shlomi
