You are right, Apple Software Update is a delivery method used to distribute HP printer driver. As per the recent update we received HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 driver has been updated on the Apple software repository and you can use the steps available here to install the latest driver.

Ok senan6806 - understood.

 

1) I have tried the latest driver offered by HP - this is for OS 10.13

2) It is not working under 10.14 

 

As you explained Apple is just the distributor for the driver this brings me back to my initial inquiry: Will HP deliver a driver for 10.14? yes or no?!

It looks like the Mojave compatible printer list available here has been updated. Unfortunately, LaserJet CP1025 Color printer is not compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave.
