My Mac is running Sequoia 15.3; just installed this morning. I got two notices, both titled LEGACY SYSTEM EXTENSIONS and saying basically the same thing: Existing software on your system loaded a system extension signed by “Hewlett Packard” which will be incompatible with a future version of macOS. Contact the developer for support.
Anybody out there got any ideas? I can't find how to contact HP directly.

Hi @lmcrowd3r, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "LEGACY SYSTEM EXTENSIONS" notice you're encountering indicates that the current HP printer drivers on your Mac are using system extensions that will become incompatible with future macOS versions.
Please follow these steps,
Download the Latest Driver:
- Visit the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Select your operating system.
- Download the latest available driver or software package.
Install the Driver:
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the new driver.
- After installation, restart your Mac to ensure the new driver is properly integrated.
If you don't see your OS or versions, please follow this document - https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_6966654-6966703-16
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

This only helps if I still had the printer. I stopped using my hp printer and bought a different brand. So I want to know how to remove my hp system extensions. Also, are all the system extensions starting with hp_ save to remove? Here are my system extensions:

Followed the link. The OS systems listed are old. What does one do with Sequoia 13.5.2 operating system on a MAC if one gets the message that some system extensions aren't compatible with current versions of macOS or won't be compatible with a future version of mac OS?
HP seems a big enough company to be keeping up with both MAC and Windows software updates.

Following link as well since I updated to iOS Sequoia 15.3.2 earlier this week and received the same OS message. My HP OfficeJet Pro 9130e Series' firmware is automatically updated (reconfirmed via Control Panel today) and System Settings shows "HP OfficeJet Pro 9130e Series-AirPrint" in the Kind field. What do I need to do to ensure future versions of macOS will be compatible?

Hello Max3Aj,
I received the same message today when I updated my MacOS.
I have a HP Photosmart D110 series printer. Can you please tell me if there is a Driver available to download for this printer?
I recall having issues finding a driver when I got this MacBook, but was able to find one that was compatible with my printer.
Thanks!

My Mac OS isSequoia 15.3.2
I followed Max3Ai's directions below to download the latest driver. While I can choose OS15 operating system from the list, the button to download it is grayed out and cannot be clicked.

I am just following up on my 3/14/2025 inquiry with NO response to date. I since have updated my iMac to OS 15.4.1 with no additional message(s) re future printer incompatibility so perhaps my issue has been resolved?

@JaisMick, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Driver Download for MacOS Compatibility Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When you encounter issues downloading HP drivers for MacOS, especially when labels like "Legacy System Extensions" suggest future incompatibility with upcoming MacOS versions, there are several steps you can take to resolve the situation:
Visit HP Support Website: Make sure you are on the official HP Customer Support website for software and driver downloads. Use this link to access it.
Check for MacOS Updates: Ensure your MacOS is up to date with the latest patches. Sometimes compatibility issues are resolved through system updates.
Try HP Easy Start: HP provides a utility called "HP Easy Start" that can automatically find and install the correct drivers for your printer. You can download and run it from the HP support page.
Use AirPrint: If the driver download fails, see if your printer supports AirPrint, a feature that allows printing without the need for installing drivers.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
