HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer

I recently replaced my printhead after the old one failed.
I found this part on the floor afterward.
Anybody know what it is, where is goes, and if my printer is going to fall apart without it?

It looks like a contact cleaner that is used to clean ink off the contacts of printhead. It may be something that was shipped in the box with the printhead. I have never replaced the printhead on the exact model so do not know if that is a normal piece shipped by HP with a replacement printhead. If there was a parts list in the box it should list it.
