I set up my work printer and then when attempted to set up home printer added this to work accoint rather than crwating personal account.

I have since deleted it from work account and set up my owm account but printer will not show as an option to access on my account.

How dod i resolve this please?

Hi @C911604

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your printer is still linked to your work account, even after removing it. To fully reset the connection and add it to your personal account, try these steps:

1. Factory Reset the Printer

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to SetupPrinter MaintenanceRestore Factory Defaults.
  • Follow the prompts to reset the printer. This will disconnect it from the previous account.

2. Remove Printer from HP Smart & HP Instant Ink

  • Sign in to your HP Smart account (the work account).
  • Go to Manage Printers and ensure the printer is removed.
  • If you were enrolled in HP Instant Ink, make sure the printer is no longer associated with that account.

3. Set Up the Printer Again

  • Open the HP Smart app on your personal account.
  • Click Add Printer and follow the setup instructions.
  • Ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.

If the printer still doesn’t appear, let me know what happens at each step, and we’ll dig deeper! Hopefully, this gets your home printer properly linked.
