Gaya1239,
Thank you for your help.
I was able to fix my problem by resetting my laptop network wifi setting to align with my printer laptop network wifi setting. When I did that, then I was able to add my printer to my new laptop. The WPS# showed up on my LCD monitor of my printer and the setup took only a couple of minutes to complete.

@DBefender007, Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer.
We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.
If your computer asks for a WPS PIN during wireless setup, use these steps:
- Check the printer control panel for the WPS PIN.
- Look for an information sheet that may have printed during setup. The WPS PIN can be listed there.
- Enter the PIN on your computer when prompted.
- If needed, generate a new WPS PIN by restarting the computer and repeating the printer setup process.
- If you continue to have trouble, use the HP Smart app to set up the printer instead. Download it from 123.hp.com.
Your printer series setup document also says you can install the printer software from 123.hp.com.
I hope this helps!
Take care and have an amazing day!
