Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Support from HP stopped. Found some doubtful Webpages where my Kaspersky screamed.

Hi,

Your Windows 10 printer drivers are provided via Windows Update, you should not install any drivers from HP Support nor from any other site, these are already integrated into the operating system.

 

Please follow the below steps to set up the printer on a Windows 10 PC:

Hi Shlomi,

tanks a lot for your hint. The message  'the printer is not listed'  is effectively not the end, continuing with 'find a printer with other options'  I found a driver for the Deskjet 895 which now does the job.
