HP Deskjet 2600 All-in-One Printer series (V1N03B)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I needed to configure some settings for my printer. I've set the password earlier but i have forgotten it.
There is no way i could get my password back.

What i've tried :
1. Resetting network from pressing "wireless" button and "cancel" button 3 seconds, didn't work

Resulting, it is 'forgetting' itself that was connected to my Laptop. (I couldn't print anything from this way)
Because when i wanted to reconnect the printer, the printer asked for username and password that i have set.

2. I only able to connect through WiFi Direct after i activated it. I able to print from that, but still can't change any settings because it is locked from admin password.

3. From the second step, tried to reset factory , didn't work. It asked for password too.

I have all the paperwork from this printer on my hands here, please help me fix it

@Bohrodir

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.
  • The network will need to be reconfigured afterwards. Then the user name will be admin and the password is left blank.

1.) Open the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS).

>> From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Information icon, and then touch the Network icon to display the IP address or host name.

>> Open a web browser, and in the address line, type the IP address or host name exactly as it displays on the printer control panel. Press the Enter key on the computer keyboard. The EWS opens.

Note - If the web browser displays a message indicating that accessing the website might not be safe, select the option to continue to the website. Accessing this website will not harm the computer.

2.) Click the Security tab.

3.) Open the General Security menu.

4.) In the area labeled Set the Local Administrator Password, enter the name to associate with the password in the Username field.

5.) Enter the password in the New Password field, and then enter it again in the Verify Password field.

Note - To change an existing password, first enter the existing password in the Old Password field.

6.) Click the Apply button.

Note - Make note of the password and store it in a safe place. The administrator password cannot be recovered. If the administrator password is lost or forgotten, contact HP Support at support.hp.com for assistance to reset the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
