Hi @blueswiss,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding mobile printing issues with the HP Smart Tank 6001!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Network Configuration:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network. If you changed providers, your network details likely changed.
- Use your desktop to access the printer settings and confirm the network connection.
Reconfigure Printer Network Settings:
- Connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network:
- Use the control panel on your printer to navigate network settings and update your SSID and password to match your new network.
Reconnect Mobile Device:
- On your mobile device, make sure it’s also connected to the same network as your printer.
- Open the HP Smart app and attempt to reconnect the printer. You might need to select or add the printer again within the app.
Use HP Smart App:
- Ensure the HP Smart app on your phone is updated to the latest version available.
- Open the app and go through the printer setup process again to ensure it's properly connected.
Check Application and Device Settings:
- On your phone:
- Go to the printer settings in the HP Smart app.
- Select the correct printer from the list if it appears.
- If it doesn’t appear, use the app’s option to locate and connect a new printer.
Restart Devices:
- Restart your printer and mobile device to clear any temporary glitches.
- After rebooting, recheck connection settings.
Resolve Network Issues:
- Ensure there are no network restrictions or firewalls enabled that could prevent the phone from accessing the printer on the network.
I hope this helps.
