Hi @HarryDevon,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the flashing blue light on your HP LaserJet Pro M15w indicates that the printer is not connected to your Wi-Fi network. Here’s a step-by-step guide to reconnect your printer to your MacBook Air running macOS Monterey:

1. Restart Devices

  1. Restart your Printer:
    • Turn it off, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  2. Restart your Router:
    • Unplug the router, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
  3. Restart your MacBook Air.

2. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

To clear old network settings:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together, then turn the printer back on while still holding the buttons.
  3. Release the buttons when the printer begins flashing.

3. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Use the HP Smart App:
    1. Download or update the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
    2. Open the app and click Set Up a New Printer.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
    4. Make sure your MacBook Air is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

4. Add the Printer to macOS

  1. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click the + button to add a printer.
  3. Select your printer from the list (it should appear if on the same network).
  4. If prompted, install the necessary drivers.

5. Troubleshoot Connectivity

If the printer doesn’t connect:

  • Ensure the Wi-Fi network password is correct.
  • Move the printer closer to the router to avoid signal interference.
  • Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus software on your Mac and retry.

6. Advanced Reset

If nothing works:

  1. Perform a full factory reset on the printer.
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Hold the Power button and Cancel button together for 10 seconds.
  2. Reattempt the setup with HP Smart.

Let me know if you encounter issues during these steps!

Thank you for the suggestions but nothing works and the problem seems to be connected to the uploading of the latest operating system  Sequoia 15.11.  Others have reported a similar problem and it is not only the printer connection which is presenting a problem - my email connection is acting strange in that it is difficult to open and shuts down for no apparent reason.  Also WiFi loses connection and regularly needs resetting.  Perhaps we may have to wait for an Apple patch but so sight of it yet.
