Performing a factory reset on the HP OfficeJet 5212 All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer can help resolve various issues, including lost passcodes. Here is a step-by-step guide:

Power Reset:

  • Turn on the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still powered on.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

Factory Reset via Control Panel:

  • From the Home screen on the control panel, swipe down to open the dashboard.
  • Touch the Setup icon (gear icon).
  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance.
  • Select Restore or Restore Factory Defaults.
  • Confirm the reset.

Network Settings Reset:

  • From the Home screen on the control panel, touch the Wireless icon to open wireless settings.
  • Touch the Settings button.
  • Select Restore Network Settings and confirm.
