Since the Windows 10 April update (my PC updated last week), I can no longer print to my printer. It is connected via ethernet and is working fine on the network with other devices such as an iPad. I've rebooted the rooter, printer and computer. I've also uninstalled the drivers and tried to install the latest version 15309 but keep getting fatal erros once the driver installation identifies the printer and begins installing. I've also tried to install the driver with a USB cable connected, but this too gets to 99% and fails with a fatal error.

8. Right click the Start menu and select Run.
Type Services.msc and press OK.
Locate and stop the Print Spooler service
9. Browse to c:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers.
Rename W32X86 to W32x86.old
Rename x64 to x64.old
Note: if any of these folders fail to rename reboot your PC and then Continue following the steps starting from Step 4...
10. Restart your computer.
11. Reinstall the HP Software and check for any difference

Ihave the same issue with an OfficeJet 6700. No printing after the Windows 1803 update. The printer drivers will not load after trying these steps, HP Print and Scan Doctor, Troubleshooting HP Installation Failure USB , removing antimalware. I've tried USB and network connections. I can scan, but the printer drivers won't install. Any thoughts? Thanks.
