Hi @JAVAD1352, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A "fatal error" during the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225/M226 driver installation on Windows 11 could be caused by various factors, such as corrupted files, driver conflicts, or permission issues. Try the following steps to resolve it:
1. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
HP provides a diagnostic tool to troubleshoot installation and printing issues:
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Perform a Clean Driver Installation
Uninstall Existing HP Software:
- Press Win + R, type appwiz.cpl, and press Enter.
- Find HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225/M226 in the list, right-click, and select Uninstall.
Remove HP Printer from Devices:
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your HP LaserJet printer and click Remove device.
Delete Driver Files from Windows:
- Press Win + R, type printmanagement.msc, and press Enter.
- Under Print Servers > Drivers, right-click the HP driver and select Remove Driver Package.
Restart your PC and disconnect the printer.
Download and Install the Latest HP Driver:
- Go to HP's official website and enter your printer model.
- Download the latest full-feature driver for Windows 11.
- Right-click the downloaded file and select Run as administrator.
3. Disable Antivirus and Windows Defender
- Sometimes, security software can block installation. Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus or Windows Defender and retry the installation.
4. Check Windows Update & Install Optional Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates.
- Install any HP-related updates.
5. Install in Compatibility Mode
- Right-click the HP driver setup file.
- Select Properties > Compatibility tab.
- Check Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows 10.
- Click Apply, then OK, and retry the installation.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
