Microsoft Windows 11

Dear community,

I experienced recently a failure on my M283fdw. First symptom was the control screen went banana (upside down). I rebooted and then it got stuck on "initializing" after 30 secondes. I search online, procured a new formater board and I thought everything would come back to life. Nothing.

Then I trouble shooted:

- I reseted the printer by pressing the bottom left as startup. went through a permanent storage init (with or without ethernet connected), I managed to make it work a bit more to disable IPv6, auto checks, ....)

- I connected the printer directly to the wall

- I disconnected IPv6 (my router anyhow is not giving IPv6 DHCP).

- I clicked on the up-left button to remove any cache that would be present

- I have only official toners that I just changed (to confirm, I reinstalled the old one without any change on the behaviour)

- I removed all printer and HP application from my PC.

- I activated the Wifi (it was down for all the first test and I never used it) and it froze anyhow after couple of minutes. I always used cable for the past 4 years or so, nothing has change on this aspect.

- I downgraded the firmware to 2020xxx something via USB (still same behavior), then reuploded it via network (now running back 202510xx).

Usually the behaviour is that when I do a reset, I have something like 5-10 minutes before it freezes. this is when I managed to set up all this. I even managed to print on this occasion. But after 10 minutes, the system freeze again and if I restart, I'm stuck again on "Initialization". After whatever reboot, the same behavior happen, freeze at "initialazing". No error message nothing, just screen freeze and no connection anymore to the printer. Nothing has changed on my LAN since it started having this trouble.

When I was having this short moment, I also managed to restart the webinterface and tried successfully to reapply my past configuration. This did not prevent the freeze to happen.

I'm out of option. The printer is as good as new and the toners are brand new, I would like to avoid e-waste. So please HP, come with a proposal not descibed above. I enjoyed your product a lot but what I'm reading on the net is not very encouraging.

Thanks to the community also for all the hints that you may have. (I may post on Reddit also to touch more user to find ideas).
