Product: Example:OfficeJet Pro 7740
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I am trying to print from my MAC.  Every time I try to print, it asks for a user name and password.  It defaults to the username "guest", but I don't have a password for "guest".  I have a username and password for "admin", but that didn't work.

 

What is the password for "guest" or how do I reset it?

  • Could you share the screen where it's asking for the password? 
  • Are you connecting to the home network or public network?

Have you tried Mac login credentials? If no, please try with Mac login username and password.

Please go the Apple in top left corner and choose Log Out and then login with your admin user. You are logged in with the Guest User account.

Hello. I have the same issue. If I use my MAC username and password I am able to print. How do I print without using a username and password?
