HP Color LaserJet Enterprise flow MFP M880z+ NFC/Wireless Direct

We acquired three M880s; however, pre-boot password was changed from 11088****. Is there a Super NVRAM reset or we do have to purchase new formatter boards?

Not sure if this will help or not. https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05996939

I believe at one point, it was stated that once you changed the password it was not resetable.

Actually re-reading your post, I question what you are trying to do. If you are trying to access the administrator menu in the pre-boot, the EWS admin password should work and performing a partial clean should clear that password, unless the previous owner locked the preboot menus completely and changed all the passwords. if you can get to the startup options you can use the cold reset option to clear passwords.
