I HAVE RECENTLY MOV ED MY COMPUTER TO THE SCHOOL I TEACH IN. I REALIZE THE COMPUTER WILL NOT CONNECT WIRELESSLY TO THE SCHOOL NETWORK SERVER. SO I SET UP WIRELESS DIRECT. WHEN I AN READY TO PRINT I CLICK MY HP 3830  DIRECT OPTION AND CONNECT TO THE PRINTERS WIFI SUCCESSFULLY. HOWEVER WHEN I CLICK PRINT IT DOESNT WORK. IT SAYS LOOKING FOR PRINTER ON MY COMPUTER. HOW CAN I FIX THIS? I AM CONNECTED TO THE PRINTERS WIFI.

Let's try these steps and see how it goes

First forget the HP 3830 Direct Network on your Mac

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Click Network, then Advanced…
  3. Select the network from the list and click the “-” icon just below the list to forget/remove it

Then restore the Printer's Network settings

. 1.From the Home screen, touch (Wireless), and then touch Settings . 2. Touch Restore Network Settings. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Next enable WiFi-Direct again and try connecting

I also suggest you update the Printer Firmware. Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Keep me posted how it goes 😊
