Hi,
Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Scan menu and select Uninstall HP Software.
Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:

I have done all the tasks, updated my drivers, and I *STILL* get the message, "waiting for printer to become available". Just like before. PLEASE help!!
UPDATE: it appears it's only the USB connection that isn't working. I'm able to print using wireless. Let's fix this!!
