Just installed Mac OS Catalina 10.15 and now cannot scan to computer. Is a driver update coming soon to fix this problem? Any other solution? These MAC updates should come with a warning prior to install.

Hello I leave you all the information of your printer https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8610-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5367603/model..., and the printer manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04204791, and other solutions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxFzZWqoCng, https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/... program hp support assistant installs drivers for you, Bios, fixes bugs among other things. By the way, I don't think you should have updated the new version of Catalina because I understand that this version causes errors in programs such as adobe, printers, among others because it eliminates files of 32 which some programs need.
Next I will show you all the Mac compatible with macOS Catalina 10.15:
- MacBook (2015 onward).
- MacBook Air (of 2012 or later).
- MacBook Pro (as of 2012).
- Mac mini (as of 2012).
- iMac of (2012 onward).
- iMac Pro of (2017 or subsequent).
- Mac Pro (2013 or subsequent).
I wait for your answer, I hope you serve cordial greetings 🙂

At this time Scan to Computer is not working in macOS Catalina.
HP Easy Scan and the Scan to Computer functionality are not fully functional in macOS Catalina.
In the interim you can use Image Capture or HP Smart for macOS to retrieve documents from the scanner.
HP and Apple are working to restore full scanning functionality back to HP apps.

to Kürüme....
Sorry, your post was not helpful. Also, telling me after-the-fact that I should not have installed OS Catalina(???). I already know that and would not have installed it knowing what a situation I created by doing so.

There is a version of HP Smart for macOS. For some reason availablity on the Mac App store has been up and down. 😞
It is not currently listed on the SW download page for the 8615.
You can download it here and see if it will work for you.
Image Capture is located in the Applications folder on your Mac. This is probably your best bet.
To scan using Image Capture:
- Place the document or photo print side down on the scanner glass, and then close the scanner lid.
If your printer has an automatic document feeder (ADF), use it to scan multiple page documents at one time.
CAUTION:
Do not load photos in the ADF.
- Open Finder
- Click Applications, and then double-click Image Capture.
- Click your printer name in the Devices or Shared list.
NOTE:
- Click Show Details at the bottom of the screen.
A preview of the scan displays, and then change any of the following settings:
- Scan Mode: Select the scanning bed or automatic document feeder.
- Kind: Set scan as color, black and white, or optimized for text only documents.
- Resolution: Higher resolution produces better quality images by using more dots (pixels) per inch. Higher resolution increases the file size of the scan. Use a higher resolution for scans with graphics or items that require the best detail. If you are scanning black and white text, higher resolution is not necessary.
- Size: Use a standard paper size or select the Use Custom Size option.
- Scan to: Select the folder you want scans to save to or use the Mail option to attach the scan to an Apple Mail email message.
- Name: Type a name for the saved scan file.
- Format: Select the file type for the scan.
NOTE:
To save multiple page documents or multiple images into a single file, select the PDF or TIFF format, and then select the box next to Combine into single document. This feature is only available with these formats.
- Image Correction: Click the pop-up menu, and then select Manual to display color change options such as brightness and saturation.
- Click Scan.
