Hello,
I have Mac Studio M1 recently updated to MacOS Sequoia 15. HP Easy Start whether for Scanjet Pro 2500, 3500 or 4500 when attempting Install gives following message "We were not able to automatically locate any software options for this product. Please go to the HP Website and search for product solutions there." The scanner works perfectly on my HP Envy with Windows 11. The highest MacOS version on the HP website is MacOS 12. The MacOS System Information utility sees the HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 connected to the USB 3.1 Bus. Can anyone direct me to the actual driver file so I can download and try to install instead of going through the Easy Start? I assume Easy Start is attempting to download the correct file and that is the issue.
Thanks in Advance,
Frank

Hi @Frank_Cnd,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems that the HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 does not have official driver support for MacOS Sequoia (MacOS 15) yet, as the latest available drivers on HP's website are for MacOS 12. However, here are some potential workarounds to try.
Use Apple's Built-In Scanning Features (Image Capture):
- MacOS has built-in support for many scanners through the Image Capture app.
- Go to Applications > Image Capture.
- Check if your scanner appears in the device list on the left. If so, you may be able to scan without needing HP's specific drivers.
Try Using HP Easy Scan App:
- Download HP Easy Scan from the Mac App Store.
- While this app is usually meant for multifunction printers, it may work with your scanner in the absence of direct drivers for MacOS 15.
Try Using VueScan:
- VueScan is a third-party scanning software that supports a wide range of scanners and often works when official drivers are unavailable.
- Download VueScan from here.
- VueScan might allow you to use your HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 without needing official HP drivers.
HP Website for Future Driver Releases:
- HP may release updated drivers for MacOS 15. It's worth checking the HP support page periodically for updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
