Hi @Bertod30

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP printer, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Could you please elaborate in detail and in the meantime try these steps.

1. Check Printer Connection

  • USB: Ensure the printer is connected properly to your MacBook.
  • Wi-Fi: Make sure the printer is on the same Wi-Fi network as your MacBook.

2. Install or Update Printer Drivers

  • Go to the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your printer.
  • Or, add the printer in System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. macOS should automatically install drivers.

3. Reset the Printer System

  • System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click on the printer list and select Reset printing system.
  • Add the printer again using the + (Add) button.

4. Check the Print Queue

  • Open Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click Open Print Queue.
  • Cancel any stuck print jobs and try printing again.

5. Restart and Reboot

  • Restart your MacBook and printer.
  • Try printing a test page again.

6. Test Another App

  • Try printing from another app like Preview or TextEdit to check if the issue is app-specific.

7. Check for macOS Updates

  • Go to System Preferences > Software Update and install any updates.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
