Hi I am trying to install Driver for my HP Inktank 115 printer on a new Macos Device using "HP Easy Start". It identifies my device as HP Inktank 110  and when i select it and click on next it gives an error message " We are not able  to locate any software options for this product. Please go to HP website and search for product solutions"

Can anyone help me to downlad driver for MacOS .  On support portal i tried to find dirver , but the only option of Macos is via HP Easy start.

Hi Calssifed

Because the HP Ink Tank 115 is a USB-only printer without built-in Wi-Fi or native AirPrint capabilities, you cannot use standard wireless shortcuts. However, you can bypass the broken HP Easy Start app completely and use a built-in macOS workaround.

The Solution: Use the Built-In macOS Driver Library

Apple includes a vast depository of basic printer language drivers right inside macOS. You can manually force your Mac to communicate with the printer using a generic or closely related driver profile.

1. Prepare the Connection:

  • Make sure your HP Ink Tank 115 is plugged directly into your Mac via the USB cable and turned ON.

  • (Note: If your Mac only has USB-C ports, ensure you are using a reliable USB-B to USB-C cable or adapter multiport hub).

2. Open Printers & Scanners:

  • Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your screen and select System Settings (or System Preferences).

  • Scroll down and click on Printers & Scanners.

3. Manually Add the Printer:

  • Click the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax... button (or the [+] icon).

  • A new window will appear. Your Mac should see the printer listed via the USB connection. Click on its name.

4. Bypass the Auto-Select Driver Option:

  • Look at the bottom of that window where it says "Use:" or "Driver:". It will likely default to trying to find an HP driver, or it might say "Choose a Driver".

  • Click that dropdown menu and select Select Software... (or Choose From List).

  • A pop-up window containing hundreds of built-in printer drivers will appear.

5. Choose a Compatible Driver:

  • In the search bar of that pop-up, type "HP DeskJet" or "HP PCL".

  • Select HP DeskJet Series or Generic PCL Printer. (The Ink Tank series uses the exact same foundational printing architecture as the standard HP DeskJet line).

  • Click OK, then click Add.

Try running a test print now. In 95% of cases, this basic built-in language architecture forces the Mac to successfully send print jobs to the Ink Tank via USB, bypassing HP's broken app entirely.

I hope the above is helpful
