I was in the HP Smart App performing maintenance on my HP DeskJet 4155e when I got booted back to the main screen. When I tried to get back into the Maintenance section of the App it is no longer an option.
Has its location been moved or has the App decided I don’t need to do maintenance anymore? Thanks in advance for any help or information.

@JB4noles, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're experiencing an issue where the Maintenance section has disappeared from the HP Smart App while using your HP DeskJet 4155e. Let's get that sorted out for you.
Why This Might Happen
The Maintenance section in the HP Smart App can sometimes become temporarily unavailable due to:
- A recent app update
- Connectivity issues between the printer and the app
- Account or region-specific restrictions
- App cache or data corruption
Steps to Restore the Maintenance Section
Ensure Your HP Smart App is Up to Date
- Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) or Microsoft Store (Windows). HP Smart
- Search for HP Smart and check if an update is available.
- If yes, update the app and relaunch it.
Reconnect Your Printer
- Open the HP Smart App.
- Remove the printer by clicking the printer icon > Remove Printer.
- Tap Add Printer and follow the prompts to reconnect your HP DeskJet 4155e.
Sign Out and Back In
- Tap your profile icon in the app.
- Sign out of your HP account.
- Close and reopen the app, then sign back in.
Use the Web-Based Printer Toolbox (Windows Only)
If the app still doesn’t show the Maintenance section, you can access maintenance tools via Windows:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
- Go to the Maintenance or Services tab.
Reinstall the HP Smart App
- Uninstall the app completely.
- Restart your device.
- Reinstall the app from the official store.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
