I have done all this, I have cleaned out the software reinstalled it, turned off and on multiple times, reconnected the printer to the wifi (it acknowledges it) and my wifi is working, but when I used HP Smart, it cannot find the printer.  There is NO ONE to talk to at HP - no number to call, no real live chat.  A few days ago I could reach a real person and spent an 1.5 hours on the phone with him.  We got it working and when I went to print the next day, same problems over and over again.  I have no idea waht do to now.

My HP printer Laser Jet Pro MFP M125nw I have had 3 different messages saying It will damage my computer. I need help.

In my case I had to uninstall to remove all corrupt file warnings.  I also found that if I started the update progress, the option to uninstall was greyed out.  After uninstall/reinstall, everything worked fine.

I had the problem with the malware messages - and so (as per hp instructions) uninstalled the printer software using HP easy start - so far so good, I think - and then  up popped the image for my printer (HP Photosmart C4680, which is plugged in via USB). Clicked the image to download a new driver  - and then got the message that said it didn't identify any printer driver to download for this model. So now I have no way to print.

This has been going on for sometime now (and I didn't print, but now I need to). In the meantime, I downloaded and installed the new Mac IOS (11.0) in the hopes that the problem would go away. It didn't. Terribly frustrating. What do I do now?

Yeah, the uninstall and reinstall did not fix the error message. Is there any other way to remove it besides your suggestion of AirPrint?
