Microsoft Windows 11

This needs to get to the HP people.

Ever since my upgrade to Windows 11 there have been problems with all the printers, all three of them happen to be HP printers.  None of them were problematic while running Windows 11.

Regarding this printer, the HP Laser Jet:

1.  It will not work wireless.  I have gone through the setups, it worked with Windows 10, it will not work with wireless.  It will only work with the USB cable connected.

2.  Even with the USB cable connected, the computer often reports it cannot communicate with the computer.  The computer must be restarted while the printer is on line.

.....2.1.  I scanned a page, then tried to scan another page.  The computer cannot communicate with the printer.  There is no indicator as to what the problem it.  Try again after typing all this in, and it worked.

3.  MS Edge can connect to the printer wireless.  Repeat, it CAN CONNECT wireless.  Do a setup printout from the printer, with the USB cable disconnected.  Enter the IP address in the web browser and it connected.  It shows the nice introduction / welcome page.  This provides a high degree of confidence that there is a problem in the Windows 11 driver for this particular product.

So,..., What steps might I take to ensure that this problem is communicated to the Hewlett Packard people?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Let me know if this helps.
