HP ENVY 6052e All-in-One Printer

Just trying to print a mirror image of text and can't see where to set this up.

In the orientation window in setup there is only portrait or landscape and no Flip or Mirror image.

I appreciate your feedback.

I am running Windows 10. HP Print Software HP Smart. And it does not provide a Mirror option for the Envy 6052e in either text or photo's. It's unfortunate, but it's HP. The work around involved using a Draw program in Google Docs. There, I can type in text and flip it horizontally or vertically. Kinda cool. Once saved, I can print the reverse image that I needed.

Thanks for your time though.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

The printer is not aware of what it is printing.

Mirror printing is a lot easier to explain within the context of what can be done with the application or software you have available on your device (computer, tablet, phone).

HP printers - Printing HP Iron-On Transfers (mirror images)

Following are some general examples.

Example - Windows - Paint - Mirror Image

Example - Windows - Scan - > Scan / Import - Edit Sets

Select Crop then Mirror / Rotate options

NOTE >> HP Smart - Mobile - includes similar edit sets for Scan > Scan or Import > photo file

Thank you for your response.

I saw the application for an image file like a photo, but the file being text can not be converted to an image file. I am unaware how to convert it. I tried to save it as a JPEG but it would not save it as such. It is in a PDF format currently. Any ideas? TIA

I found a converter online. I now have a jpeg but it still wont show flip or mirror image in the photo selection orientatio for printing. Hmm

Unless I am missing it, I still do not know which Operating System / version you are running nor do I know which application or software you are trying to use.

I can tell you up front that if you are running MacOS, we are speaking different languages.

Too, Mirror is not a part of every print application / software.

To my mind, the methods should work with either a PDF file or an Image / Photo file.

Example 1 - Paper Copy of the item you want to mirror and then save or print -

Scan as document > Edit > Mirror > Done > Print (and / or Save).

HP Smart - Windows or Mobile - Scan > Scan Documents > scan the content, fix the boundary (if needed)

Next, Select tiny three dot menu and select Edit

Select Edit type Crop

Look for the Mirror options below the illustration of the document page

After edits are complete Click Done

Move on to Next Options > For example, Print / Save / Share / Shortcuts

Save, continue as shown in the example.

If you do not exit, you can usually combine more than one Action.

True - there are differences in presentation between the Windows and Mobile versions of HP Smart.

True, too, the Save options are slightly different.

Finally, the same method works for Photos, though you don't have to start with a paper copy of the file.

You can instead, open HP Smart > Scan Photos > IMPORT your photo file > correct boundaries, and select to Edit.

You are welcome.

I'd not come across a version of HP Smart in Windows that cannot Scan / Import  and edit.

Doesn't matter - use what works.

Happy Printing.
